Friday night and my work's all done

I get my baby go and have some fun

We're gonna see a double feature tonight

That gives us lots of time to do it up right

She's a co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co

Co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co

Cool one

Well, I picked my baby up she slid right in

I revved my Chevy up and revved it again

Her daddy's standing out beside the street

I laid some rubber there for him to eat

She's a co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co

Co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co

Cool one

And the show now...

She reached over and she squeezed on my rocks

I lost it all in the popcorn box

I hollered louder than an Indian scout

And that's when the usher started prowlin' about

Oh oh oh

He started flipping and a-flashin' his light

Right in the middle of the Indian fight

The Redskins were shootin' at the wagon train

That's when me and the Cavalry came

She's a co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co

Co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co

Cool one

Oh you know now...

She reached over and she squeezed on my rocks

I lost it all in the popcorn box

I hollered louder than an Indian scout

That's when the usher had to throw us out

He threw us

We left the movie and we ran to the car

Lucky for me we didn't have to go far

My baby started movin' sweet and low

She picked it up again right where she let go

She's a co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co

Co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co

Cool one

Oh oh, she reached over and she squeezed on my rocks

I lost it all too soon man

I hollered louder boy it's hard to see

My seat's gettin' sticky but that's alright by me, yeah

I like the way she likes to rattle my bone

I like the way she takes me all the way home

I like the way she likes to shake it around

She's got the saltiest shaker in town

She's a co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co

Co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co

Cool one

Well you she's a co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co

Co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co

Cool one

Oh yeah, she's a co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co

Co-co-co-co-co-co-co-co

Cool one

"Hurricane"

Pistols shots ring out in the barroom night
Enter Patty Valentine from the upper hall
She sees the bartender in a pool of blood
Cries out "My God they killed them all"
Here comes the story of the Hurricane...

...That's the story of the Hurricane
But it won't be over till they clear his name
And give him back the time he's done
Put him in a prison cell but one time he could-a been
The champion of the world.

Bob Dylan.

My favourite Dylan song as performed by Dylan.

A contender for mine too, along with 'Tangled up in Blue' and 'When the ship comes in'

If you listen carefully you can hear the difference in not only chords but more noticeable the lyrics, that's in the space of 8 years, not saying he's the best singer but lyrically he's superb.

You can't be serious!

:-)

Lennon, Springsteen, Diamond, Bolan and Warren can't beat a good love song.

Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Ian Curtis and Morrissey. Not necessarily in that order though.

Us and Them
And after all we're only ordinary men
Me, and you
God only knows it's not what we would choose to do
Forward he cried from the rear
and the front rank died
And the General sat, as the lines on the map
moved from side to side
Black and Blue
And who knows which is which and who is who
Up and Down
And in the end it's only round and round and round
Haven't you heard it's a battle of words
the poster bearer cried
Listen son, said the man with the gun
There's room for you inside
Down and Out
It can't be helped but there's a lot of it about
With, without
And who'll deny that's what the fightings all about
Get out of the way, it's a busy day
And I've got things on my mind
For want of the price of tea and a slice
The old man died
Roger Waters Us and Them lyrics take some beating
