2005 Ashes win, World Cup win against New Zealand.
Not technically a sport but on a personal level, yesterday has to be one of the best days of my life in terms of physical achievement. Walked 100km for charity, moving time 21 hours. So glad I did that and hopefully the start of a few more physical achievements.

Oh! Thought they shared gold and silver. Thanks for the correction.Ovett got the bronze in the 1500 and i was gutted. Not as gutted as LA 84 when he had to pull out. Ovett was my sporting hero City aside. Always preferred him over Coe.
I was in the Coe camp. My non football sporting hero..... then he became a tory MP which tarnished any notion of admiration I held for him

1984 was LADame Kelly Holmes winning gold in the 800and 1500metres at the Athens Olympics in 1984, when it seemed that injuries would defeat her talent.
Still brings a tear to my eye after all these years.
