Clive ‘Silky’ Wilson was the first player that sprung to my mind. Sadly, the generally awful standard of the City teams he played in meant that his quality was often overlooked.Clive Wilson was a great technical player who would have thrived under Pep.

Clive played a lot of top flight football for Chelsea, QPR, and Spurs. He became a superb, very skilled, left back who would have got in our present day team in my view (in that left back position). I think he was unlucky not to achieve more with his career. I met him once in Withington. You couldn't have met a nicer bloke.Clive ‘Silky’ Wilson was the first player that sprung to my mind.
