Kiki Musampa came on loan til the end of the season, which IIRC was extended for the whole of the next season.
Nery Castilo came on loan under Sven, apparently paid some of the loan fee himself? Remember being quite excited by his arrival, the excitement didnt last long.

Vieria, Lampard and Pizarro were great signings. Watching them for city really made me appreciate their immense quality despite them being in their twilight years.
Pantilimon was the last loan not mentioned, even though he ended up being permanent transfer after the initial loan year.
On a free not mentioned so far was Sylvinho and and on loan Fulop, and I think that is the decade for first teamers.
