As mentioned earlier in thread, often unjustly ignored. One of De Palma's best and a great performance from Penn. Plus a top Morricone soundtrack.

Where Eagle's Dare, by a mile (although I'm no aficionado!)

And a rather obscure one worth a watch: Operation Daybreak (with Martin Shaw as a Czech resistance fighter based on the true story of the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, with an almighty siege shoot-out at the end)
