Will go for that as well, although Das Boat was a series if I remember right, I also liked Pacific (on Sky Atlantic at the moment) and Band of Brothers both very realistic in the portrayal of the hell of war, there was another German one recently that was very good chronicling the lives of a group of friends in Nazi Germany the name escapes me

More anti - war, but Coming Home is excellent. Quite the double act with Deer Hunter, both released at the same time.
