Best War Movie

Platoon for me. Highlights the Social injustuce which all wars present but directed by somebody who had first hand experience of this. Also indicates the ignorance of medal hungry officers.

I was amazed at the amount of "fragging" which took place during the Vietnam War, thought it was a myth but there were A LOT of cases of it.

Cross of Iron for me is the best war and anti war film

also that it centers on the eastern front and the breakdown of the German army makes it a lot different to most made about WW2
