Better Call Saul

Don't agree on Breaking Bad but Better Call Saul is first class. Looking forward to new series. Will save them up and nail the lot in a weekend.
I don't know how you can like one but not the other. For me they are just different sides of the same coin. The acting, plot, characters, direction, cinematography... well pretty much everything... is just superb. Bloody marvellous series' the both of them.

The thing that really made it for me with Breaking Bad as well was, I came to it very late - after the final episode had already screened. On hearing a review on the radio, I sat down one evening with the Mrs and we thought we'd give S01E01 a go, and we were hooked. Night after night of 3, 4, 5 hour binges ensued, going to bed at 3 in the morning sometimes.

what season is the latest one? Netflix has new episodes but says season 3 I'm sure that's the last series?

The first two episodes from season four are available to watch on Netflix. The next one should be available on Tuesday.

Season 4. Episode 2 of season 4 screened earlier this week. Season 4 is on Netflix, assuming you are in the UK?

EDIT: You beat me to it.

I might add, no-one should watch either Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul, any other way than starting at the beginning and watching it in sequence. Part of the magic is the development of the characters. Ideally, you start with Breaking Bad episode 1 and go from there, IMO.

I am in Canada so season 4 will be somewhere on one of the networks I will find it.

One of the best shows for me.

Cheers

Time to resurrect this thread, I think.

Still the best thing on TV for me. Breaking Bad for me was the best television series ever made. Nothing other than watching City has given me so much TV viewing pleasure. That Better Call Saul is just as good, is the highest compliment I can give.

The Wire just edged it for me, but it was a very close call. Game of Thrones at no.3. As far as I’m concerned Vince Gilligan is a frickin’ genius, and Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad are two of the most intelligent, best scripted, best acted shows ever. Like you I don’t see how it’s possible to appreciate one and not the other. Bob Odenkirk’s been nailing it for years as well. I can remember him playing Larry Sanders’ slippery agent, Stevie, in the Larry Sanders Show 25 years ago and he was top drawer then

Watched the first series and enjoyed it, but the second one didn't seem to be going anywhere fast for me.... maybe will get the beers in and do a binge one day soon and see if it gets better with the alcohol.
It does.

But if you're waiting for a cameo appearance from Morrissey, you'll be disappointed ;-)

Absolutely, I stopped watching Better Call Saul after season 2 because the whole thing's too complex to remember after a year out. Fortunately it's a bit less mainstream so avoiding spoilers is a whole load easier.

I was so glad I waited to binge watch Breaking Bad. It was a good week.
