I don't know how you can like one but not the other. For me they are just different sides of the same coin. The acting, plot, characters, direction, cinematography... well pretty much everything... is just superb. Bloody marvellous series' the both of them.

The thing that really made it for me with Breaking Bad as well was, I came to it very late - after the final episode had already screened. On hearing a review on the radio, I sat down one evening with the Mrs and we thought we'd give S01E01 a go, and we were hooked. Night after night of 3, 4, 5 hour binges ensued, going to bed at 3 in the morning sometimes.

Hmm it’s strange one. I’m exactly the opposite to @Free Ian Brown, cause I really enjoyed BB, but watched the first episode of Better Call Saul and was disappointed so didn’t watch any others.
Does it get a lot better ?

YES.

It's every bit as good as BB. Every bit. I can't say too much because of spoilers, you but get to see how the characters in BB become who they are. It's bloody marvellous tbh.

BCS remains pretty one paced but I really enjoy the slow burn and watching Jimmy develop. Mike also is a great character in BCS.

I didn't really enjoy BB all that much, but certain characters kept me interested (Saul, Gus, Hank, Mike specifically)

In the last two episodes this show has stepped up to deliver as good as any thing Breaking Bad did.

Just watched today's instalment. Its got so much legs, this. I don't think we have even touched the sides of where it could be taken. Brilliantly acted, and some top storyline's so far.

Normally a spin off from such a hugely successful programme as bb would fall down. Even with such a loyal base of viewers. But dare I say it, I actually think this is showing signs of being even better so far.

Never thought Breaking bad or Sopranos would be beaten.
