Learnt to ride on a yellow Raleigh Chipper. They must have come in different colours but can only remember them in yellow! Somehow broke the right stabiliser off it, so for quite a while I only rode in straight lines or round left hand bends. Later graduated to the long forgotten Raleigh Jeep

I had an Elswick Hopper with a 5 speed derailier gear plus cow horn handle bars. I had that until the day the Racecourse estate was built, never saw it again.

Some German type which braked if you pedaled backwards and then a Raleigh 'Jeep'

First proper bike was a Raleigh Striker. You peddled backwards or just stopped the pedals for the back break. Fell off it loads of times. Loved it
