Biggest mistake City have ever made?

There's been a few, mainly big Mals return, the board not backing Billy McNiell,he did wonders on a shoestring budget, although far too many sweaty socks.
Towering over this like a combovered colussus is PJ Swales, honestly if only he'd been a red, they'd be playing at a kids playing field in Moston, not FC Ushited.

Abso-fucking-lutely. That bloke (aided and abetted by Swales' backing) brought our club to the verge of ruin. We didn't truly start recovering from his disastrous reign until HRH came in.

Is it just an urban myth, or has it now been established as a genuine fact, that, shortly after the 1978 world cup, Ardiles & Villa were actually on a plane, flying into Manchester airport, to complete the formalities, after a deal had already been agreed with Malcolm Allison. when Peter Swales, inexplicably, pulled the plug?

I heard summat like that but would have been Bookie if true as Allison didn't return til 1979

To be fair, while selling Balotelli hurt, he was still no where close to the same antics on the field as Christian Negouai, he really set the bar for the antics of the new age footballer. He, without a doubt, was our largest loss and biggest mistake!
