Biggest mistake City have ever made?

In my Time watching us these cock ups have surely contributed to matters.

Letting Big Mal come back. 2nd in the league to almost relegation in 3 seasons.

Selling Trevor Francis.

Not doing everything possible to keep Howard Kendall.

Appointing Horton and then sacking him!

Letting Franny taking over.

Appointing Ball

Appointing Coppell

Appointing Clark.

Signing Fowler without full support of board

Keeping Pearce a season too long

Appointing Hughes and not sacking him quick enough.

Signing Santa cruz

Signing Adebayor on silly wages

Signing Bridge on silly wages

When I was at Blackburn in 07 in the cup quarter final, witnessing fans fighting each other and almost hatred of the team, I thought we would never win anything in my life.

Amazing how quickly things can change!

Benjani instead of Defoe was pretty stupid.
I thought Benji was more of a backup for Alfonso Alves? Defoe cost a lot more than Benjani IIRC. 3.75m and 12m?

Allowing Shinawatra to take us to within half a hairs breadth of administration. In fact allowing that scumbat anywhere near the club full stop.

Other than that - loads of relatively minor ones. Peter Swales seemingly had no end of cock ups to hand, and the managerial merry go round he started seemed to just keep on spinning until the ADUG came in and finally brought sense to the table as well as money.

Maybe not the biggest mistakes in the grand scheme of things, but:

Lee Bradbury. Signing a pub player for £3m isn't great business!

I know there wasn't a lot of money knocking about while Pearce was in charge but the signings of Corradi, Mills and Thatcher weren't going to take us anywhere.

I always wished we'd signed Van Buyten, even after his injury. He made an impact in only a few appearances.

Also want to mention Samir Nasri being a tart in the derby this season. That goal really pissed me off and who knows where we'd be now if we'd got the draw.

It's scary how close we came to Administration and back to where we came under him.

Thank god the Sheik came in just in time.
