Biggest regret and why.

Yeah, I pretty much taught myself Autocad, but PDMS isnt your typical cad package.
I've known guys pay thousands for 3 week training courses, and employers still wont consider them unless they've used it in a project environment for a minimum of 6 months, because of its complexity etc
As a mechanical designer I’ve used AutoCAD 2D/3D and Inventor for years. We often get graduates who claim to be able to use Inventor, however it soon becomes clear they really can’t.

Sketches display as green, models aren’t constrained correctly, and drawings certainly don’t reflect BS8888.

A few regrets, probably none more than wishing I’d eaten better as a kid so I could be taller than 5’ 8”. I think I’d have been better with sport and women if I had.

I also wish I’d listened more to my academic dad and studied harder and persuaded my parents to send me to private school so I ended up with a fulfilling career. Oh and that back in those days they’d understood I have Asperger’s and wasn’t just disruptive and lazy at school.

Biggest regret of all was meeting and marrying my abusive, controlling, jealous ex-wife. And not leaving her sooner.

But now, being happily married to my current wife and comfortably retired in my 40’s it’s strange how life can still give you good things in later age, so no-one ever give up hope …

Letting my mum and dad die of cancer in hospital without me being there to hold their hand when they went. Cunts trick.

I often get files sent to me where the designer hasn't even been arsed to trim up all his edges and surfaces correctly.
They don't realise that a cam system can't machine an untrimmed surface. I often have to finish a model before I can cut it.
Lazy fuckers.
