Birmingham - 3rd Round FA Cup Post Match thread

Great, just what we needed really, I hope the players felt like they didn't expend much energy. The first 30 were all that mattered, and that was a complete dismantling, scoring nearly at will.

All players fine, de bruyne and foden were good, bernardo getting just rewards for 2 or 3 months of busting his bollocks off, cancelo's movement is becoming a highlight. People picking on Mahrez and mendy are being a bit harsh, how do you shine at 50%? Also Mahrez does have some luxurious touches, but I do reserve concern that he might not be the player to turn to in the top end games. Still a good player though. Jesus looked rusty, hope to see him firing again shortly. Don't get the Nmecha criticism.... Thought his movement looked ok and played like a Pep player

Oh actually one complaint I have is Steffens holding, hope that was an off day for him in that respect.

Second half was forgettable and actually a bit shit at the end but footy plays funny tricks on the mind when both teams have completely different outlooks on how to spend the last 30 minutes.

Good result and atm we performing great .I have to admit that I was getting fed up of pep first part of season but now I see that he was trying to change our style of play to suit our players . Pep forgive me

Good win, decent performance with an early goal which left them absolutely no chance of digging in. And, of course, another clean sheet.

Great to see Bernardo score a couple of great goals, the first one was superb technique. I do like him as a player and hope he can use performances like this to get back to the 'old' Bernardo.

The clean sheets more than anything I am really enjoying this season. After the first 8-10 games (in total) of this season I didn't believe we would win the title and thought we would struggle in the league. However, with each clean sheet I am getting more confident that this season we could now be on for a VERY good season. I really do think now the PL and CL are good targets and wouldn't be at all surprised if we pick up the FA and Carabao Cup. We know how to rip teams to pieces and we're now able to stop them scoring. We all know that Pep is the greatest manager in the world, but his pragmatism this year shows he is learning, adapting and trying a Plan B.

I bet we are now the "No.1" team to avoid in the draw now!

Desperate to find something positive about Mendy . I’m really trying to like what he does on the pitch but I’m afraid he’s just not good enough.
He’s gone so far backwards it’s embarrassing. There was a point near the end of the game when he had tonnes of room to get a cross in and delivered nothing. Had so much time and space throughout the game and failed to offer anything going forward. We desperately need a left back.’
