Birmingham - 3rd Round FA Cup Post Match thread

Saw a comment on BBC HYS basically criticised Pep for playing a strong side and trying to win a trophy other than the League Cup.
Bet the twat of a poster doesn’t see the irony in slagging a club off for wanting to win something.
Pep cant win. If he picks a "weakened" side he is disrespecting the competition. If he picks a strong side - like he did v Burton in the semi and won 9-0 - he is being disrespectful to the opposition!

I suspect players have had more strenuous training work outs. Good to see the kids getting some minutes although not sure Nmecha realised even a training ground match is quicker than he is used to. Another clean sheet and great to see Bernardo score and Phil. People still talk about that pass from Silva to Edin but what a ball from Mahrez to KDB. Nice of Warnock to suggest Birmingham needed to get all physical on us, never hear that suggested about other teams and who the fuck was the other commentator, droning on all game. Sometimes if you have nothing to say...

Fuck me you are a repetitive twat..
You couldn't wind me up if you tried.
I find people like you so fucking tedious.
As for being wounded by your words.. Remember your irony post..
I don't constantly slag Mahrez off btw.. But I do think he's a shit house of a player.. He bottles every 50/50 tackle and he's ambles about.
I find it much easier to put people like you on ignore as I can't be arsed going over the same shit with them.
No you put people like me on ignore cos you’ve got no intellect. Check your post history with regard to Mahrez, you slimey abuser

We used it to good effect I thought. Put a team out to get the job done then change it up, try a few things and give some of the younger lads some well-deserved 1st team action.
And took off key players - Kev, Rúben, Len, Dave - and one coming back from a positive COVID test in Gabriel.

Very good squad management, IMHO.

The F.A. cup has always been a great competition, "cup final" day was one of the biggest sporting days on the calendar not too long ago. I remember the excitement leading up to the 1981 final, beating a very good ipswich side in the semi........and although it ended in disappointment, a good cup run was something any teams fans would be happy with.

I am so happy that we seem to be taking it seriously again this season and any journalist/fan that disses this cup are just bitter cos their team maybe doesnt take it seriously enough, and anyone that wouldnt be happy if their team won it doesnt appreciate its value in a football sense.

Anyway, I thought we did a great job today, played some great football, scored some great goals, got a great result and gave this great competition the respect it deserves.

What more could we ask for.
