Bit more info regarding new kits...

I was looking for an image of the Gorton St Marks shirt, and i came across this: <a class="postlink" href="http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100129103637AAlwcFi" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/in ... 637AAlwcFi</a>

I think the club should whip some up as a replica shirt, I'd get one.

City in 1967 I think it was Spurs away wearing maroon shirts & socks with the home socks sky blue maroon & white hoops.
Brings back happy memories

Players pictured are from Left to right:

Johnny Crossan, Dave Connor, Colin Bell & Stan Horne

Is it just me or does it look like Horne is tickling Connors balls?

He looks like he is quite enjoying it too.

A lot of people are talking about the maroon, but a navy away kit? Just seems strange to me.
We had a navy kit with a red and white sash in the early seventies. Think it might have been a third kit, to go with the white kit with the blue and red sash.

I understand that we'll have to change one kit so that from then onwards we can get a new kit each season. But i find it pretty annoying that if it's true, we will have a new £40 top that's only slightly different to the current one. Hopefully (for me) they'll just change the numbers!

I already have the 34 cup final shirt and the 40's home shirt. Warmer, better quality and better design than the modern cr@p, but would love to see a decent Maroon away shirt.

Aye i remember the one Jim, but a plain navy kit? May have been nice to bring back the above design, maybe with the stripe going over the other shoulder to make it different from the third kit. CONTROVERSIAL!

Why can we not keep these kits seriously getting fed up of 3 new shirts coming out every year.

These are the best we have had for yonks why get rid of them :S
Agreed we used to take the p*** out of the Rags for bringing new shirts out every season, and now we are doing it ourselves.

I supposed that is the price that we will have to pay for the extra resource's being put into the club by our new owners.
