Got in touch with a guy off toffs the other day about this shirt, he sent me this mock up and said that i should be able to order it in the next week

We had a navy kit with a red and white sash in the early seventies. Think it might have been a third kit, to go with the white kit with the blue and red sash.

Aye i remember the one Jim, but a plain navy kit? May have been nice to bring back the above design, maybe with the stripe going over the other shoulder to make it different from the third kit. CONTROVERSIAL!

Agreed we used to take the p*** out of the Rags for bringing new shirts out every season, and now we are doing it ourselves.

I supposed that is the price that we will have to pay for the extra resource's being put into the club by our new owners.

But it's even before that. The last shirt we wore for two years was the Reebok one with the navy and white flashes in 2004-06.

This will be the 10th new home kit in 12 years! we've only worn the 2000-02 one with White sleeves (like an arsenal kit) one and the one you mentioned above for 2 consecutive years! we changed from eidos to first advice in the last 2 seasons at Mane Road so counting that as 2 different kits!

that's a bit shit if you ask me! that's more than ANY other team!! it totally decreases the quality of a shirt when it's just discarded of after being worn for just 9 months!

We should keep the current home shirt for another year, change the second shirt (black) in the summer and keep that for 2 years, and keep the current third kit for another season! then change each one every 2 years!

Me too! I had one and wore it all the time until it fell apart/I grew out of it... Happy days!

If the new 2nd kit is royal not navy blue, then maybe in the spirit of the 3rd kit they'll have this one lined up...?

Now, I didn't get the new 3rd because I refuse to wear those colours any more, so I'd definitely getting one of these, long sleeved of course!

Maybe royal blue with a maroon/white stripe...? Maybe not!
