Blackburn Away.........

I'll never forget going to Ewood in the (old) 2nd Div back in 1989, but for the wrong reasons. We were in the Darwen End when it was still terracing. Gerry Taggart played at right back and those on here who remember him will recall that he was so left footed it was untrue. Used his right peg for standing on and almost every time the ball came to him on his right he sliced it into the crowd. He was that bad it was embarrassing. Blackburn hammered us 4-0 and me and my mates came out of the ground sick as pigs.

Then we heard about what was going on at Hillsborough that afternoon....................kind of put it all into

Got great seats this time - 17 rows back behind the goal. Right in the middle of the Poznan. Bring it on.
was there that day as well. Only crap trip to Blackburn.

This time 10 am train to Darwen. All day on the p@ss and 7 pm train home. Happy days

Train from Victoria is always a laugh for this one.
Anyone else getting off at Darwen?
We do this every year and is a good day - easy to get a good few pints then late taxi round the housing estate to the away end.
Yes 10 am train off at Darwen. Good day to have

Is it sold out now with it not being on the ticket page?
Yep sold out. 7,000 blues will be making the trip on Saturday. Should be tremendous.

Can't wait, in Blackburn for 9:15.

7,000 Blues in full voice behind the goal sends shivers down my spine.

Just like the opening day in 2009.

just out of interest where will you head for at that time of the morning? i fancy an early start myself, altho i always end up in the blackburn working mens club just down from the ground-full of their lot but never any mither and cheap as chips.

Probably start off at Spoons in Blackburn...it's called the Postel Order.

Think we're fucking the Fernhurst off and drinking in the town centre...they're charging £3 to get in and it's always impossible to get served.

We went in there last season and it was rammed.
