Blackburn Replay...Hoping for cheaper tickets.

I got a funny phone call of someone from City today asking if I was going to Blackburn game, I said I was, he replied oh well I had some hospitality deals for you but I guess you won't need them. I find this strange firstly, I've never had that sort of call before, if they've got my number surely they should know I'm going from their records, and the ease with which he hung up was strange, never pushed it, i.e upgrade etc? Anyone else receive one?

got one on monday morning, said they were doing hospitality deals for the blackburn game and they started from 36quid.

me 'I've already got my ticket, I'm on the cup scheme.

Got one before Xmas about putting my name down for a new ST when the new stands are built. I explained to her that, as I had stated many times in surveys, I do not have the time, nor money, nor work availability to travel 600 miles a game these days. To be fair she must have crossed me off as I haven't had a re-try>

This new 'maximising value' thing could get like PPI calls!

Will still be a few empty seats from people in Cup Scheme who wont bother going. I know 5 that arent going. Not sure if they have offloaded tickets or not.

Just can't see someone from the club trying to phone the supporters to get them to buy hospitality deals. My guess is that this is a con-trick and don't fall for it. Why should the club do a deal of £36 for the hospitality when the cheapest that they charge is £99 + V.A.T. for the Premier League match. There just wouldn't be any profit in it for the club. it just doesn't make any sense at all.

Nothing sinister about this. MCFC Corporate have always had telesales people working for them. I've had loads of calls over the years. they will offer to subtract the price of your ticket if neccessary too.

I see where you are coming from but there were a few odd posts on here yesterday

A poster came on looking to sell his Blackburn tickets as he had hospitality, a regular occurrence. However after several posts offering his tickets he had no takers. His final post was along the lines of, right then I won't be getting the hospitality then.

Seems perhaps they are ringing round, and cup hospitality in the early rounds is much less than the premier league matches
