Those two CBs were good enough to beat the European Champions. Surely they would be able to handle Blackburn
Different competition, different style of play. And that sort of complacency is City's biggest danger in these early Cup ties but hopefully the players wont take the same attitude into the game.

Eh?
What? "Surely they can handle Blackburn" seems complacent to me.

especially when they've made mistakes aplenty in the pl. I'd rest everyone who's played 20+ games for this one, league cup more important now we're in the semis and the rags biggest threat left and we've enough on our plate with cl and pl, huws, facey, lopes, guidetti, pants, boyata some of these should play.

THIS THIS ( only Lescott instead of Nastasic ).

It would be insane to risk Kompany in this game at this stage, we lose him again and PL and CL are over - Manuel be warned.

I'd go
Pantilimon
Boyata Lescott Nastasic Kolarov
Silva Garcia Rodwell Milner
Lopes Dzeko

Subs:
Hart/Nasri/Negredo/Fernandinho/Toure/Navas/Clichy

Also very good.
Negredo for hattrick. I hope Guidetti can score at least one. I hope Jovetic could play full 90 min. Put Dzeko in last 30 min if needed. i would try to rest Silva and Nasri if it is possible.

Lol at jovetic starting. I dun think he is even ready for the bench much less starting.

Just need to keep rotating as we have been doing during December. Not all players need a rest. And for some it's even better they keep playing instead of getting a rest. I'm sure the physical state of players is very much an issue these days and the staff will look after them as much as they can. Injuries can happen everywhere.

Blackburn will be up for this one. It promises to be a 'typical' cuptie as you often see in the early rounds. ven with a handfull of changes we should see them off. The one thing we don't need is a replay.

Would you explain me why is in every your line-up Pantilimon as a keeper guys? Is it for Hart so he can have a rest or is it for realizing the rivalry between him and Pants?
