Blackburn v City Post Match Thread

Prestwich Blue , not sure what you are trying to say ?
I am disappointed with some of the negative comments I am hearing from some of our new supporters. .
At the moment we are living in a dream , this is the best football most of us will experience in our lifetimes .
I'm trying to say we get very suspicious of people who seem to only want to wind others on here up. Particularly those with very few posts. We all know it's a great time to be a Blue but it wasn't good today and people are entitled to make their feelings known. We didn't see anywhere near enough skill and desire from some of our players.

Tell him to get himself over to Rammy's good news thread.

I do sometimes get the impression that they sometimes think they just need to turn up and the other team will roll over

I think this is what infuriates the fans the most, because it isn't as if they have not had enough bloody noses and lessons in the past they just seem to never learn from them. They also know the other team and their fans will raise their game at least 50% but it still seems to suprise them.Bizzare.

THIS THIS THIS.....It is so annoying that this happens all too frequently....Issue is where does it stem from ? management or the players ???

It has happened 3 years on the trot at Sunderland !

It could be argued that it happened in the FA Cup final last year.

And it sure as damn it looked like it was it today.....

Too many MOANERS on here........

I would like to put into some sort of perspective, today's tired looking performance.

From the 1st Dec to the 4th Jan, City have played 11 games winning 9 and drawing 2. Now to me that's a hell of a lot of games in such a short period of time, and given that there have been a fair few injuries, I think the squad and management have done remarkably well to produce a sustained high level of performance and results. A lot of tough games have been played against some good teams (Bayern, Arsenal and Liverpool), teams have been played fighting relegation (Fulham and Palace), a few teams have been played that were/are on decent form (Albion, Soton and Swansea), then lastly teams that have a chance of a giant killing have been played (Leicester and Blackburn).

In this run of games the football has been electric at times and plenty of goals scored, so I'm more than willing to cut the guys who played today, some slack as this period of games over Christmas, has set the team up beautifully for the remainder of the season.

So please like me show your appreciation of what has been achieved over the last few weeks, and take a step back and think why we weren't at our best today.

Well done Manuel and the boys, keep up the good work.

Well said - agree 100%

Best thing today was seeing my eldest lad and my mate in the crowd on BT sport. Made my day and I'll see if my Grandson will spot his dad in the crowd tomorrow.

As for the game we've been here before, I feel sorry for those that have spent hard earned cash on match ticket and travel in these hard times to watch that load of bollocks. Anyway onwards and upwards!!

Fuck me, it's competitive professional sport. Do you expect every game to go with the odds?

united haven't won the cup for a decade and have probably been 1st-3rd favourites every one of those seasons. Some fans really need to take a reality check.
