i can't no
i remember every time we went i ended up freezing my bollocks off, didn't seem to matter what time of the year it was either

Do you remember Micky Walsh's goal of the season, about 75ish...?

Against Sunderland at bloomfield rd, was a screamer on a piss wet through day. I still remember it well. I bet if you saw it it would all come back...? I'm sure 'Budgie' was Blackpools keeper that day as well before he left for Villa.

wasn't he blackpool's keeper throughout the 50s, 60s,70s and 80s?

It just seems it!!! I was up in Scotland once at a Hibs game when he was in goal for them. It was worth the entrance fee just to watch him warm up, no puddle was left that he hadn't dived in. I thought he had mellowed somewhat by the time he came to us though.

Their Centre-Forward Ben Burgess is a big City fan. Used to be a City season-ticket holder. Played for Chapel Boys.

I was at that game, sat on the wall right behind the goal that Walsh scored into, what a match, not just the goal but Sunderland had a penalty to equalise late on and a policeman behind the nets was doing a dance to put the taker off! It worked and Burridge saved it.

There used to be bags of trouble at Bloomfield Road, I was at the game against Bolton when a lad got killed and the police kept everyone back in the ground, my mum went mental because it was on the news that a young lad had died and of course she presumed it was me.

The Spion Kop behind the goal was huge and the fans used to battle for the centre, the authorities put a fence up but that didn't bother Stoke fans, they broiught a ladder! It was like watching Cloppa Castle as they attempted to lay siege to the Blackpool fans.

Blackpool had their fair share of nutters in those days, many a 'big' club came a cropper.

My mate was at that game He said everyone was locked in after game for ages said it was mental. There used to be like a members drinking club at the back of the ground.

It was called The Tangerine Club and ironically they used the £100k they got for Burridge to pay for it.

Don't read this bit if your eating breakfast....I was in The Tangerine one night and getting on famously with a girl from Burnley, one thing led to another and I suggested we 'went outside' she said, and I can still hear her voice...'I'm on't blob but you can do me up t'shitter'

Ah, romance.
