You can turn that find a phone feature off. If someone lost there phone, most likely they just claimed it off the insurance in fact I know a few who turned it off so there phoned wouldn't be located for insurance.

You can turn "find my phone" off but the phone network can track the IMEI number from cell to cell. If "they" want to know where the phone is "they" can until the IMEI is changed.
Unless it's a very important person's phone I dont think 'they' could give a toss where it is. We all know 'they' can find it but as it's been lost since November I think its safe to say 'they' aren't looking for it very hard
thats exactly what i was thinking. so apart from the "its not mine" quotes what would this person whos phone it was gain or lose if i handed/didnt hand in?
if i lost a phone in november and was given it back tomorrow and it was bricked i would probably just chuck it as i would have had everything replaced etc.....thats why im asking

Hand it in. It's no use to you or your thieving pikey mates.
Sometimes it takes a post like this to restore my faith in humanity.

Found it in an office my arse. Pinched and held onto until the heat died down more like without realising that it would be blocked.
cheers
you clearly dont know me

Did you find it in an Astra in the velodrome parking lot?does it say"sprint" when you turn it on? If so you could have left the dock in the car but as its a CDMA phone I think it only works in America/Asia. I just used it for music, and to learn lessons in locking my car .
