Bloody Gary Neville gets more reasonable by the day. WTF?

Bitter? No. He's a fuckin rag turd?! Why are so many blues on here suddenly recognising the positives in rat boys existence and his ability to pass comment on the job he has done for years. Who gives a shit. Hes a rag turd. End of.
The ''bitters'' tag wasn't just aimed at you, by the way. A quick question for all those on here who still hate Neville. Fine; you're perfectly entitled to your opinions. But what exactly did Neville do that most City fans haven't done? He supported the vermin? Er, yes. They do have fans, like it or not. Yes, he liked to antagonise blues and scousers (and others!). Tell me a blue who hasn't done likewise. He loved his club; I don't have a problem with that. I love my club. Did I hate him as a player? Of course, but that went for 99% of vermin players I'm sure you can say the same for united fans re. City players. What's Neville like as a bloke? I haven't got a clue, and i don't really care. All I am judging him on is what he does now, not what he did x years ago. And as a pundit, there are few better than him at the moment. Compare him to his one time team-mate, the dog walker. Wooden in the extreme.

I agree totally.

Being fickle in football works both ways.

If the likes of Neville joined City, I bet after a few games the objection would go away. Disagree? Have a think about all the ex-rags who have joined City as a player or in management, and name me one that was still hated during his City career.

And if it helps some people, he hates Liverpool far more than he does City.

I take it everyone missed Neville's staunch defence of Ashley Young's 'right to dive'?

I think it's more the suprise element that's caused it all. When I heard he joined Sky I thought he would be like all the rest. But as a pundit, no one, no matter how much you hate him, can knock his fairness.

I hated him a player, pure hate, but as a pundit he is fucking way better than the fucking shite pundit's (especially on Sky) who sit there knowing full well, deep down in their soul that they had failed careers in football. And were it not for bent Sky they'd be swinging in the garage or licking their piss off the toilet rim desperate for more alchol.

I hope many more like Neville come along to make that last paragraph of mine happen.

As a pundit in the studio he's the best Sky have, along with Souness.

As a commentator he's shite. His sex noises as Torres scored last night made me feel sick.

He's still a rag prick though but I don't have to like someone to respect them and realise they're doing their job well.

The office rag said pretty much the same thing, she even had the orgasm playing on her phone to explain to the others how annoying it was.
Souness had a failed football career!! I,ll give you Redknapp and Shearer even though theydidwin something but most of the others won loads

Lets rename this thread "positive comments about Gary Neville". Am I the only one here that fines this outpouring of respect and credibility for this little shit objectionable? Whats wrong with you all? This week of all weeks is not the time for this bollocks. Wake up. Remember who this knob head is, I dont give a hump what he has to say, sympathy - no. Understanding-no. Credability - no. Scum- yes.

Dear Rat Boys best mate,

I didn't want to join this debate but this is well out of order . . if you were a City fan then you'd remember rat boy (on the touchline warming up - not even on the pitch!) spitting on a certain City player in a certain cup derby at the Etihad.
I can't tell if you're extremely forgetful, if you want to shove your tongue up rat boys arse or if you're a rag sniper on here to wind people up but fact is that we can all forgive a guy who kisses his club badge then changes club etc. but as loyal Blues and as people with a modicum of pride and dignity we can't forgive a **** who spits on our badge can we?

PS. Just checked your previous and wish to edit to say . . take a walk back to rag cafe you rat boy tonguing weirdo.

And his praise for Aguero? Plus, having witnessed AJ and Dzeko earlier in the season, we're not really in a position to take the moral high ground. Every club has it's divers, we just noticed that little shit because
A. He plays for the vermin. And
B. We're challenging them for the title.

He is allowed to have an opinion and that will occasionally mean him taking a position that is pro-united, or at least seen to be. There is nothing wrong with that per se and it would be a little strange if that were not the case. I am sure you, and other posters, will be able to pick up other pieces of evidence of his pro-united bias as time goes on, if you let it consume you too much.

What I, and I suspect others object to is pundits who allow their own prejudices to impose on any sense of logic and where it prevents them from viewing a situation fairly and objectively. It is an extreme example but Paul Merson's absurd prediction that if we don't win it this year we never will is more about wishful thinking than anything based in reality.

What I like about Neville is his ability to be fair to City,as he has been from the very start of the season when he looked so awkward on his 'debut' in the Swansea game. It is an admirable quality in a person if they can do that, especially when football is involved, particularly as he is a fan of united.

There are plenty of other people associated with that club who are much more deserving of our finite amounts of hate: Macari, Robson, Crerand, Schmeichel, Parker, Cole, Thomas and Beckham for starters. I find that is more than enough to sustain my hatred.
