Apparently not far off now. Hope we get him back as he looked a really great talent and another home grown lad as well.

Could go either way but as far as team building goes we have to plan without him.

Boateng and Luiz are centre backs.

Boateng plays Right Back for Germany and also occasionally for Hamburg.

Luiz can play Left Back or left sided Center Back.

Michael Johnson looks like he has lost a lot of that weight, and from the interviews he seems like his mentality is perfect again and he is really working hard to be ready for the next season. Although we only saw a few glimpses of his class, I really think if he stays fit he could be a class act. His composure on the ball, his vision, passing range and his box-to-box style and ability to tackle mean he can make it at City I think. He glides along the pitch as well, his goals v derby and aston villa a couple seasons ago were amazing, so fingers crossed we get him back!

He's not the same player since he put on all that muscle, he won't have any pace or much agility imo, also he was great for us in the past, but would he be that great in this team?

I remember Jan Molby being porky and lacking pace but it never seemed to affect his creativity?

I think it will be a good while before MJ's passing accuracy and range is equal to what Molbys was (the best in the league).

You can't drop De jong, he's one of city's best defensive players, Barry is the person to drop imho, but we'll be playing in the europa league, so we'll really have 2 different teams, i.e.:

HELLL NO!!!!

We need a 3-man midfield which can dominate the middle of the park. Either a 4-3-3 style or a 4-3-1-2 style with the one in the hole being a winger drifting from flank to flank or a playmaker.

So one in the engine room and two box-to-box players as our mid-3.
