Here’s what will happen with sin bins and blue cards…

Liverpool have a good break on at Anfield but Salah is fouled and the Brentford player is sent to the sin bin.

Liverpool go 1-0 up during the period the player is away.

Late on Brentford have a tasty looking situation but Robertson cuts the player off before anything can come of it.

The referee uses his ‘discretion’ to say he doesn’t think it was overly cynical and Robertson remains on the pitch.

Brentford feel aggrieved and leave Anfield feeling the rules weren’t applied correctly. The referees shrug their shoulders and make up excuses as to why the Robertson foul might not have been cynical.

Replace brentford with City and we are all seeing that play out over and over again. We already get fucked over every time we go there, this is just another option for them to manipulate outcomes.
