Well that’s the end of my week.
I would agree with pretty much most of what you guys have said.
I did purposely pick a list that would probably be more in the comfort zone of everyone non here rather than going for shock and awe. The result may be a bit tepid in hindsight now. Apart from the Fatima track, which I wanted to include, to show what they have to offer that is, punchy but more straightly played, as was said. But everything else was up for grabs.
I also wanted to put a Lisa Hannigan track up but which one?
I toyed with the idea of still reviewing At Swim, so steered clear of the stuff on that, and went for the quirkier Knots.
The rest was up for grabs. I struggled with what theme to go with and ended up staying mellow.
I would have loved room for;
The Pale
Blink
The Sultans of Ping FC
The Frank and Walters
Planxty
and a few others were considered.
Anyway. That’s me done for a while.
I think I’m running out of ideas.
Don’t have a clue where I’ll go when my turn comes up in the review thread again.
