Blue Moon Playlist Review Club - Season 2 - Episode 27 - Out on blue 6 - Gone Too Soon (pg 438)

Whilst I decide how much of my inner monologue I'm actually prepared to expose to Bimbo The Soul Taker I'm going to buy myself some time by going back to the Water playlist a moment.

I didn't have time to put a little write up of it which was a shame because even though I've thought all the playlists to date were really good I think that one was my favourite so far. It was set up by having, from my perspective, the best initial five so far from @Mancitydoogle and then a hugely entertaining mix from everyone else. In some ways it shouldn't be surprising given the elemental nature of the subject; especially large bodies of water which are fertile ground for all sorts of expression. There's something soothing and embracing yet simultaneously dark and terrible about oceans depending on their mood.

I have never heard that Mark Knopfler song but it's the one that stood out the most from the first 5 for me because

(a) it's really quite melancholic and nice and (b) it's entirely possible that were I to be facing the firing squad I would probably request a bacon roll with brown sauce as my last meal

Foo Fighters: “Exhausted”.

The end of a tiring difficult couple of weeks was topped off by a near sleepless night.

All very stressful and unsettling, and not just for the humans: our dogs woke me up barking at about 2 a.m. and not much sleep was had thereafter. An early night beckons.
So sorry to hear, and hope it gets sorted out for you & family & hounds too.

Rest up, and avoid the "Green Calx" if you do use some tunes to help. ;-)

Given the recent weather and my somewhat unsettled mood I'm going to go with:

Vivaldi Four Seasons - Concerto No.4 'Winter' - movement #1 - Allegro no molto

(for the purposes of this playlist by La Serenissima led by Adrian Chandler - because as annoyingly good as Nigel Kennedy's versions are he's still a Villa knob)

Times like that you have to admit you are a closet 10cc admirer.

And if some lovely person could do the spotify do dahs I'd be most grateful.
I would volunteer, but if there's a song on Spotify I can't access in the US (like CSN&Y last week), then I'll feel bad again.

If you get no takers, I'll put something together by tomorrow. No hurt feelings if someone else steps up too. No shade in my mood song tomorrow either way. :-)

It is interesting. I will go with a true and honest reflof my daily mood at the time. But then at the end of the week I can look back at it and see what curve my mood took through the days of the week. Then next week I can see if there is a pattern.

And then I might ask you to graph it for me.

I feel this one is more to listen to as they come in each day, than saving all up for the second week.

Cool, if we can collect enough data we can undertake some regression analysis :-)
