Blue Moon Rising TV

Aren't you ever curious about things? It doesn't have to 'matter', it just has to pique my interest.
Of course but it seems that its a negative thing on here and i don't understand why its alright to monetise city fans on this website and its would be alright if 2 blokes from Chorlton do the same on youtube but if a company do it its seen as a negative. I'm fine if some company gets some money from youtube ads for free city content, its not like they are using 7 year olds to make trainers or selling off meat to schoolkids.

What the fuck kind of nonsense post is that?? If you have a problem with bmrtv then you have a problem with this forum.

How do you work that out? The guys who run this site make money out of it, not a lot but enough to keep it going and I hope a little more.

Same as a number of Youtube fan channels but Shotglass Media the owners of Blue Moon Rising TV and others are in this for different reasons.....

"Shotglass Media’s goal will be to create “innovative digital experiences” through funded content, sponsorships, and digital advertising for brands and their fans, predominantly in the food and sports niches. In addition to new programming, Shotglass will continue to develop current FMUK brands such as the Munchies YouTube channel (co-produced by Vice Media), as well as football (aka soccer) channels Full Time Devils, Chelsea Fans Channel, and Blue Moon Rising."

In other words, the "authentic" voice of fans is used by a corporate as yet another way to make money. This isn't akin to this forum, or buying a season ticket, or a pint at the Summerbee bar.

What wrong with that? i don't get it. Last month i heard about some us drug company putting up the price of some drug 10x the original price because they had found out it did something else they could make money off. If they ran bmrtv then i would never watch it but i don't also assume that every company is some evil entity

Why the assumption that asking = negativity?

And neither do I.

Are you being willfully obtuse? Or you just don't get it?

And if a piece of shit like that US drug company -did- run BMRTV, would you even know if you weren't curious enough to ask?

Ahh faux incredulity at someone elses differing opinion. I'll take it you could'nt find anything wrong with my response, goodnight.

It's not a differing opinion I'm objecting to, but your inability to address the OP. This forum, drug companies, fairies at the bottom of the garden, you can churn this stuff out as much as you like, what this is about is the commodification of the authentic voice of fans for profit by a corporate, I repeat...

My beef with corporate owned fan channels is they have the appearance of grungy authenticity, out on the rainy streets, talking to real supporters, run by fans for fans, but it's fake, despite it being staffed by genuine supporters, they are part of yet another money making opportunity.

The final frontier of the game’s monetisation? The point at which everything a supporter does, thinks or feels can be converted into cash for somebody else.
