Blue Moon Top 100 Bands Artists - Full List of Artists (pg 287)

Surprised Echo & the Bunnymen are so high , they are a good band who I saw at York racecourse in the 80’s . McCullough is a bit twat though ever since I saw him twatting a fan with the base of a microphone stand

Is there a good record I should take a listen to that you'd recommend? I enjoy taking the piss out of their name, but I didn't dislike them, and was just a bit surprised as to their popularity. What I heard sounded a bit generic but as I noted, I just picked random stuff.
Not sure if you got a reply to this Figgy I would give Blackened Sky a listen it’s my favourite album (not that it counts for shit on here). I think it’s the measure of being an old guy when you like a bands early stuff or before they got big - I love the early BIFFY CLYRO stuff the newer stuff I find quite listenable but they seem to play to a different audience now. Seeing them live is a different experience they are very entertaining. Not sure how big they are in the US from various mates over there I think not much. Hope you enjoy - maybe give us an album critique if you give it a listen (that is a genuine request!)

Great thread, have only had a few of my fifteen(I entered twenty by mistake) so far and have read the thread with interest.

A couple of surprises, Dylan being so low for one, and some great comments/insight from many have revived my interest in a few artists that had slipped through my net or been forgotten about.

A well worthwhile thread @RobMCFC and looking forward to hopefully seeing more of my picks higher up.

Oh, and if I dont post again today please everybody have a fantastic christmas and new year and stay safe.

Come on BW - everyone knows that the fab four are beyond reproach.

Anyone unable to hail Yellow Submarine as a work of genius or Maxwell's silver hammer as a direct flow down from God is hugely frowned upon and discredited by the musical fraternity......... ;-)

Rubber sole, revolver, abbey rd, the white album and st pepper after that I can cherry pick other songs I want to hear hadly anything prior to rubber sole if honest appeals to me nowadays

Pleasant surprise. Brilliant band.
Even better will be the seethe from the Dylan fans.lol.
One of my favourite guitarist's of all time is Will Sergeant.
2 in now.

Always liked ’The Buunymen’ saw them live at the FTH in 1988
i thought “Ocean Rain ‘ was a really good album, especially’The Killing Moon’
which has been used in films such as ‘Donnie Darko’ and ‘Grosse Pointe Blank’
and in tv series’Billions, 13 reasons why, and ‘I’m not ok with this’
Good band but not in my top 30

above Dylan, jesus wept! (actually, i could be saying this for the next load of artist so i'll shut up now)
No, please don’t shut up, or else it will just look like I’m whinging and moaning on my own.

Should the Bunnymen not be number 18 as 20 was tied.
So we will have a top 101 now.
Get rid of that number 100 shite as well.lol.
No, keep up @bennyboy
