Blue Moon Top 100 Bands Artists - Full List of Artists (pg 287)

Everything up to and including Young Americans superb...after that a bit patchy (few singles aside)....and then the Tin Machine years which were terrible. Minor return to form at the end. Def a top 10-er.

Often I am. But I will also admit when I'm wrong.

I'm not wrong about Radiohead being overrated though :)
Tbh I don't know whether Radiohead are overrated or who is overrating them. I've never heard an album of theirs.
I just heard paranoid android about 20 years ago and thought it was the best and most original song I'd heard for a long time.
It gave me the same feeling as Strawberry Fields Forever, Ashes to Ashes and Astronome Domine did back in the 60s 70s
Very original songs and very un-derivitive.

Wouldn't that make you want to pursue more of their stuff ?

Edit: Bowie. No denying his genius and being a genuine icon. And I know I should love him, but truth is, beyond a good few songs I just cannot fully get into him as others do. Not for lack of trying. Bought several albums, but find it hard to get through a full one before simply 'had enough' of it. Deserves Top Ten though for sure.
Exactly how I feel about him. Scary Monsters is the only album of his that I seemed to really get.

I loved him from Hunky Dory to Diamond Dogs.
Loads of great songs in that period.
Changes one Bowie was a great best of lp.Lost interest after that.
No problem with him being in the top 10.
Loved Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel as well at the same time.Another who did his best work around the same time.Loved Psychomodo and Best Years of our Lives.
Quite a few Bowie fans at school got into them as well.
Alice Cooper another who I quite liked for a period as well in that time.Billion Dollar Babies and Welcome to my nightmare.

A magnificent creative genius who always surprised you. Not nearly as popular over here as he is over there. I don't really listen to much Bowie anymore with all his tunes so engrained in my head already, but I think Hunky Dory will always be my favo(u)rite record of his, but "Heroes" my favo(u)rite song.
