Unless I’ve not been concentrating no sign of the Velvet Underground?

I don't know whether he is the only one to appear twice (EDIT: OH yes, Joy Division). But, with all due respect, I think it shows that Smiths fans are a little blinkered. Whilst I accept that The Smiths are highly rated by fans and critics alike, I don't see a similar love for Morrissey's solo work outside of the core fanbase.

To suggest that Morrissey's solo work is better than, say, George Harrison's, is more than a bit of a stretch.
Of course, yes JD and NO too.
My comment about the Great Man was of course in jest and set to ruffle a few posters feathers lol

Is this the same 1 decent album George Harrison or another one.

I was one of the votes! They went downhill for me when everyone else decided they were good after a few car videos. Still a good live act very entertaining - shame about Dusty Hill
Oh definitely. The first album I bought myself was Eliminator but my brother had Tejas which is far better, as is probably all of their albums before Eliminator. Bit hit and miss afterwards.

RIP Dusty.

George Harrison was my favo(u)rite Beatle -- I love many of his songs most of all -- but his solo work was pretty dismal I thought; I prefer Morrissey's. Now John Lennon's solo work? Different question. I'd rate it much higher. McCartney/Wings always annoyed me save for "Live And Let Die". Maybe it was just the tough comparison. Wings' music always seemed so, I don't know, trivial? Is that the right word? Just compared with the Beatles' and Lennon's.

Sounds a bit like the output of some of posters on here :)

They weren't in my 15, but I like a bit of Pink Floyd - back-to-back albums Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here combine some great music with interesting thoughts on a variety of subjects. David Gilmour is a superb guitar player and if you like a bit of atmosphere in your music (no, not Russ Abbot), then they are a good band. Again, don't understand the one-liner throwaway comments and vitriol.
Totally agree with all of this, and I like a lot of The Wall too. WYWH is IMO their masterpiece, not Dark Side, because it's about Syd, and in that context, it's a very moving tragic lament. The title track will be one of my very favo(u)rite songs until the day I die and is a finalist for my funeral. I think its one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Pink Floyd is probably my favo(u)rite down-tempo band -- actually one of the few I like.
