To be honest mate, I am every bit as impressed that you can still sit like that and get up without assistance as I am with the fish. I would need a winch and pully.I’m on a constant quest to improve my PBs and haven’t done one for a few years now. Been chasing a big pike and bream for a few years now with no success. It’s not easy in my adopted Yorkshire. Forgot to add these from the spring too. I suppose you could certainly say I’ve had a variety this year.View attachment 131080View attachment 131081
On the upper Welsh Dee tomorrow..
With new waders on!
I've been getting out a bit. Had a week on the Wye in torrential rain and flood conditions and had two brilliant days and three blanks which reflects flodwater fishing well. Some of the fishing was verging on dangerous as the steep banks just turned into mudslides but I survived. All the barbel were below double figure but we had plenty and some big chubView attachment 135937.
The only other fish of note was on Saturday where I managed to stalk this nice pike which I saw swirling down the bank whilst deadbaiting. DEfinitely got my pike head on at the moment and am depserate for a 20+ to add to the list.
RIP Noggsy. I think that's the way we'd all like to go.Wow, that is some fishing, we'll done. Haven't ventured near a river myself for some time and haven't been fishing well at all.
Just back from Portugal where the weather was atrocious and my mate and I both went down with the lurgy on the first day so, for the first week, at least, were just ggoing through the motions.
Having said that, we did crack a new water which hasn't yet been invaded by spiny little catfish and which seems to contain a better stamp of carp. Biggest we got was 19.5lbs but most were around the 12lbs mark. Big, big water with only one or two fishable swims.
