Risky posting stats like this. Some people don't like confronting the truth.

Really? What you actually mean is that people don't see those stats and have the same opinion on yours as to what should be done about them.

While others just ignore what's in front of them and come out with stuff
like "we were shit under Pearce" or "div 2 13 years ago"

I don't want Mancini sacked but he is under performing this season and will be sacked if it doesn't improve an sharpish.

Some people won't even accept that we are not playing well on the whole this season when it is as clear as day to anyone with eyes.

I don't think I've seen one person say that we are playing well on the whole this season.

I never said that. There are many who won't admit we are playing poorly on the whole this year. They may stop short of saying we are playing well but they don't say we are playing poorly when it is as clear as day with the odd decent performance thrown in.

The uber-reactive pantomime dames might be in 'meltdown' but the seasoned supporters are made of sterner stuff.
We had shit bad luck today...
What utter bollox. I've never posted this before but I'm just back from Sunderland and am still annoyed about our performance, as was every other City fan up there I spoke to, so think its about time people knew. When we had that run of draws under Hughes, he was at the regular strategy meeting he had with the senior management team. He was asked by Cook what he planned to do in order to change things and turn it round. He said he didn't really plan to do anything as we'd just been a bit unlucky. And that statement earned him his P45. Our owner and executive management don't believe in "bad luck", certainly not on anything other than a very occasional basis.

They might even feel that we've actually had some luck on our side as we could very easily have conceded a penalty against Reading or had the goal disallowed. Ba could have scored with that second chance he skied and Santon might have cleared Garcia's header for the second goal. They might feel that our goalkeeper hasn't been unlucky but in fact needs a big kick up his extremely complacent arse. They might feel that our attacking players haven't been a bit unlucky but in fact are quite content playing a safe pass instead of taking some responsibility for opening up an opposition defence.

They might even feel that a manager who very nearly threw away the title last season and whose team was humiliated by an Ajax team that cost less than Vincent Kompany wasn't unlucky but actually wasn't that good.

So don't give me that shit about bad luck.

Excellent post

It's a great post.

Had anyone else written it, they would have been accused of, being a rag, a wum, a troll or just not having a fucking clue and you were not there 13 years ago.<br /><br />-- Thu Dec 27, 2012 9:58 pm --<br /><br />

So we've been beaten the likes of Southampton, Reading, QPR, Fulham, Wigan, WBA, Swansea, Newcastle, Sunderland, Aston Villa in the league so far this season....most people would agree that these sides are pretty average, to say the least.
We've failed to beat any decent side we've come up against this season with the exception of Spurs.....Everton, Ajax, Arsenal, Dortmund, Madrid, Man Utd, Chelsea....
We've now played 26 games this season and have won 11 of these matches (excluding the Charity Shield)....that's coming up to nearly a win every 3 games!!!!.......compare that to last season when by this time we'd beaten Man Utd, Everton, Arsenal, Bayern, Villareal, Spurs and had won nearly 20 games by the same time in the League, CL and League Cup.
These stats appear to show us going backwards, we are winning less, scoring less, struggling more.

And thses stats are quite worrying.

Well the fact that we played York away surely disproves every point in that post?

Agree with this. Dissenting opinions on Bluemoon apparently make you a rag or a young fan who wasn't there in the bad old days (when most of us were). There are problems at Manchester City right now (Mancini: "but we have this problem"). No they aren't scrapping in a relegation battle but the whole context of our situation is different now and we're staring a 9pt or 10pt gap in the face if we don't beat Norwich.

We should be playing much, much better than we are this season after all the investment, we are one of the few 'major' clubs in Europe whose best football seems to be a novelty instead of a regular thing. People were overjoyed with our performance against Newcastle and with good reason - but a top club should be able to play at such a standard regularly, not once every blue moon.

Sadly, this

The trip to Sunderland confirmed what most of us have been saying all season:-

1. We do not have a plan B against teams that park the bus
2. Physical teams of ones that defend well - we cant cope - lots of people with no bottle (Nasri) !
3. Tippy tappy football is very predictable and whilst good on the eye - does not win games
4. Shoot for gods sake - dont keep trying to pass the ball into the net.
5. Put into practice the shots you practice before away games - At West Ham away some of the shots in the warm up were brilliant - none in the game
6. Play players in the correct positions
7. Play with width - pull the play wider so that the strikers have a chance to shoot
8. If Dzeko gets on the pitch and goes wide - fine him - his job is to sit in the middle around the 18 yd line
9. Bring back Nigel - unload the poser in the middle - i will never forgive you for running off the pitch at Dortmund with thanking the fans
10. Mancini - stop making excuses - refs, too many games, too few games, bad pitch - you pick the team, you dictate the tactics, we loose if you get it wrong "simple"
etc...

wow did we lose

sack [insert scapegoats name here] !!!!

imagine losing a game of football tut tut

it's a disgrace etc

yawn

You included Nasri in a post about the Sunderland game.

Super. I stopped reading after that.
