Bluemoon in meltdown!

I love the vicissitudes of the football season. If it was all plain sailing it would be boring.

What made 2012 sweeter for me was the memory of that horribly rainy day when we lost to Arsenal.

What made 2014 sweeter for me was the memory of Gerrard's huddle.

I cannot for the life of me understand why people who've followed this group of players are ready to throw the towel in already. Even if we lose on Sunday this isn't over.

Life following Manchester City has always been a roller coaster. Now we're a top club and the stakes are higher and the ride is faster it should be more enjoyable, surely.

Big players; big fixtures; high stakes; being In the spotlight - never a dull moment: that is what it's all about, people.

I cannot understand why so many of our supporters simply don't really seem to enjoy this remarkable journey we're on as City fans.

However this season ends, I know it's going to be another remarkable and memorable one. I think much of our support forget too easily how unbelievably lucky we are.

Exactly this.
And if it turns out we are still on their shoulder after what is normally a sticky period for us, (Jan-Feb) then you may well see what a meltdown is.
I think Jose is due one and I don't think he will enjoy the run in with us on his mind. Cue the so called mind games next week.

I'm a long standing supporter and I've come to the conclusion that my generation will have to be pushing up the daisies before our fan base is truly comfortable with success.

Wins don't have the joy they used to have when you're expected to win. Only the derby, the chavs, the scousers, and the likes of Bayern, Barca and Madrid are real victories any more, everyone else is there for the taking, so when they're not taken as the Arse weren't you feel deflated.

City fans have a bizarre attitude to the Premiership. If you listened to some fans they generally believe we only won it because United and Liverpool threw it away. The League is decided over the course of 38 games and a five point gap is merely one defeat and a draw and both ourselves and Chelsea will probably slip up again over the course of the season. We may win it, we may not but some need a reality check that one defeat at this stage or five points does not result in the end of the challenge.

I think the majority of City fans do see it this way to be honest, mate

I think some people should look in the mirror and see how lucky they are to be watching this club going through such changes and take their glass half empty attitude somewhere else.

Indeed this is what we signed up for in our wildest dreams.

At some stage we'll win the league by early/mid April and when we do great.

The last game knife edge is fantastic, taking away the birth of my son and my marriage (yuk ;0 ) the QPR game and whole day was the best of my life.

The nearest we've been to taking it easy and coasting to a trophy was at 3-1 up with Sunderland. I was never really comfortable with the league game against WHU.

Without getting to sentimental about things i just wish my Grandad was around to see it all.

He's the sole reason that 4 generations of our family are all City fans and I'm sure he wouldn't of moaned if we bought Sergio instead of Sanchez?

I too think that we are not too many seasons away from this happening, but in the mean time is, isn't great that the two seasons we won, that the team were written off, by the media, the so called experts, every other fan-base, and quite a lot of our own. Watch out for the same happening this year. We were already written off before Christmas and they'll be itching to do it again, especially if we don't get a result at the Bridge. But as others have pointed out, we should know better than to go into meltdown. Stay calm. It's what the team do when the circus really starts at the end of the season.
