To be fair, using the fact Ferguson votes Labour as a reason to not vote Labour just kinda shows the mentality you're dealing with when talking to Tory boys.

Housing issues are very big in that ward I would imagine, especially extensions and affordability due to larger than average household sizes. I think you will need the Orthodox Jewish community onside there, Interlink would be a good allies, but I assume you know this.
