Got home just too late........again.
Was going to log in and watch, but looks like I missed that too.
Well done SWP's back, although it sounds like lady luck played a part!
Charlie, have you thought about trying to run it as a little league as opposed to having hundreds of people in the club that never play ?
Might be worth a thought if it doesn't pick up when the season starts.
It could be for a real trophy and/or a bit of cash if everyone who enters give a fiver or so for the season.
Give a bit more incentive to play if there was silverware up for grabs!!
Not that I'd have much chance of winning it :)

I have thought about it but it could have an adverse effect on people as in if they miss a week or two they'll be less likely to join in. We could say everyone sticks an extra £10 in over a month but again people would have to agree to it and not all the people can play each week. I think we're best leaving it and allowing people to chose when they play, Swp's back hasn't played for ages yet he can turn up whenever he want's atm. We've had quite a few regular players stop playing in the last few months but also had others that have started to join in quite regularly. It was always intended to be a friendly, no pressure, game which is why the buy-in has always been low, I have had people contact me and suggested having $50 games but that could just force people not to play and also when there is big money on the line the friendliness could be taken out which goes against the original idea of starting the club. We could have a discussion on here about organising a different game, maybe PLO or a cash game. We once had a rebuy which was a lot of fun, I think we ended up with 12 rebuys over the course of the game so the winners pot was bloated by the end of the rebuy period, on saying that though the game did last just under 3 hour iirc.
