Bluemoon's Official Top 100 Favourite Manchester City Players

If this was 2010 Colin Bell would have won.
The only players higher are Sergio,YaYa,Zaba,Vinnie and David.
Some are 4 times winners of the EPL and appeared in the domestic treble side,2 FA cup wins and 4 league Cup wins.
So you can understand why Colin is in 6th now.
A new era of favourites for the younger supporter.

Younger.....I like you :)

Wow, you’re older than God :)

Different opinions & id suggest different mindsets too as history has never really interested me my friend.

Can I ask, blue tinted specs off, you’ve seen far more players that I have, so who’s the greatest goalkeeper you’ve ever seen?

& I’ll add Defender, midfielder & attacker.
Ah now we're into greatest or favourite again. Greatest keeper is Banks or Yashin. Bert is my favourite. Don't want to detail the thread any further so for the other positions will only say I did see Pele "live" in the '66 World Cup, he got kicked to bits, mind.
(Oh, and I think God is a bit older than my mere 72.)

Apologies for the god comment, thought you’d be far older than 72 mentioning Bert, but didn’t bother doing the maths. Oops :)

Interesting you say Yashin. I think anyone I’ve asked who saw Yashin play have all agreed, although Trautmann, Swift, Banks & schmeichel have also been mentioned frequently

Lev Yashin once said, "There are only two goalkeepers; Lev Yashin and the German boy in Manchester".

FWIW, I think the top five will be:

5. Yaya
4. Vinnie
3. Sergio
2. Zaba
1. Merlin

Didn't someone earlier in this thread ask mr. bluehammer to do a poll of Bluemoon's 20 favorite (not greatest!) players from other clubs? World-wide or only those who played in England? Still in lockdown, so lots of time to think about that one.
(Bobby Moore, John Charles, Duncan Edwards, Jimmy Greaves, Frank Worthington ...)
