No.6 on my list, but as a player he was 3rd only to Dave and Sergio IMO. A simply majestic footballer. Just a pity about some of the baggage that came with it.....

Didn’t have Yaya but confident I’ve the top four to get everyone in on my list.
Just grateful we have seen so many top top quality players with us.

You may not be surprised to find that I put Yaya at #1 on my list. I think he is the single most important player to play for the club. Never before or since have I seen anyone run games for us quite like him. His crucial great moments are the stuff of legend and I'm betting that if Yaya hadn't gone off injured, Sergio would never have got his greatest moment ever cos we wouldn't have needed it.
So, out of a bunch of players, I favour equally, Yaya got the top spot.
As to the sol called baggage, I'm sure it didn't help that he lost his younger brother and his personality is one of the things that made him a great player. Also, even this week you had Gundo referring to him as Uncle Yaya, which I take as a mark of affection / respect from people that actually know him.

Funny how Yaya is so high up and Kolo didn't even make the top 100.
I thought Yaya was brilliant and a match winner but didn't like his antics.
It’s not really funny is it?
Yaya’s one of the most important players in the history of the club and provided arguably more big/key moments than anyone who’s ever played for us. Kolo by comparison was pretty average.

I don’t know the final order but the fact that one of the top four is a man who simply loved the club and left every drop of blood he had on the pitch without ever being a “superstar” in the conventional football sense tells you everything you need to know about how incredible our fan base is and what a true hero the man himself is.

If we’d never got relegated with Alan Ball, then we’d never have had the Horlock goal, without that we wouldn't have the Dickov goal, without the Dickov goal we wouldn’t have had Ewood Park in 2000, without that we’d never have had the Yaya moments in 2011... etc etc.
Using this logic, the player who scored the club’s first goal is our greatest ever, because none of what happened afterwards would have happened otherwise.
