Sergio Leonel Agüero del Castillo , colloquially known as Kun Agüero, is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club Manchester City and the Argentine national team. He wears "Kun" on his shirt, a childhood nickname based on the title character from the cartoon Kum-Kum. He is widely considered as one of the best strikers of his generation and one of the best players in Premier League history.

Agüero began his career at the Argentine Independiente. On 5 July 2003, he became the youngest player to play in the Argentine Primera División on his debut at 15 years and 35 days, breaking the record previously established by Diego Maradona in 1976. In 2006, he moved to La Liga side Atlético Madrid, for a transfer fee of €23 million. During his years at Madrid, he established himself as one of the best young players in Europe and won the Don Balón Award, Tuttosport Golden Boy and World Soccer Young Player of the Year. He scored 101 goals in 234 appearances for Atlético, while winning the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Super Cup.

Agüero moved to Premier League club Manchester City in July 2011 for an undisclosed fee in the region of £35 million. On the last day of his debut season with the club, he scored a 94th-minute winner against Queens Park Rangers that earned City its first league title in 44 years. In the 2014–15 season, he won the Premier League Golden Boot. In November 2017, Agüero became Manchester City's all-time highest goal-scorer, scoring his 178th City goal against Napoli. He was named to the PFA Team of the Year in 2017–18 and 2018–19. He is currently the 4th highest goalscorer in Premier League history, and the highest non-English scorer in the history of the competition, with 180 goals in the division. He also holds the record for most hat-tricks in the Premier League, with twelve.

Sergio Agüero has carved his name into Manchester City history as the club’s all-time top goal scorer. This City legend was a record signing for the club at £38 million in 2011. The Argentine made his debut for City on August 15th, 2011 against Swansea at the Etihad and then went on to score 30 times in this title-winning first season. One of City’s most iconic moments belongs to Agüero, as he scored the crucial 93:20 goal to beat QPR and seal the Club’s first Premier League title at the expense of Manchester United, on the final day of the season in 2012.

Kun has been crucial to the success of the club and he has 13 medals to show for his nine seasons of incredible service: Four Premier League, 5 Carabao Cup, 1 FA Cup and 3 Community Shield form the Argentine’s collection.

What a man. Could have picked any team in the world, could of moved to the Spanish giants anytime he liked. But he chose us and bloody hell he delivered and has given us so much pleasure. A good future top 20 would be Kuns top 20 goals. Bloody hell there have been some absolute beauties.

I don't and to get to the top there has to be an element of selfishness, but I cant condone some of the things Yaya did or said and hence cant put him amongst my favourites. Same as Joey Barton he gave a lot to the club during his time and as a supporter I was grateful but I couldn't warm to him either!

The thing with Sergio is how he just hit the ground running. That first goal against Swansea. Not an easy thing to do. You come in from another league and country, completely another playing style, and bang, you're on it. No messing.
Then that ridiculous cut-back for Merlin's goal. Then that superb strike for the second.
God how I miss him. If we do get the title this year, it will somehow seem wrong if he's not part of the run-in.

I'm amazed he is #3!!!

He gave us THE greatest goal ever scored in English football against our greatest rivals in the last minute of the last game of the season. It changed EVERYTHING about the club. I can't get past that haha!!! :)

No matter what David Silva or Kompany did - and they are absolute, utter, legends - that goal pips it for me. It still brings tears to my eyes now! I couldn't put anyone else above him! :)

He was my number one. I often wonder why he is overlooked for things like this. I know David and Vinny are greats in their own right, but I suspect if you ran a poll for the greatest player and asked non-Blues to vote, he would finish top comfortably. A true great, always rises to the occasion in big games, did it against all of the top teams, won us our first league title in 44 years at the expense of those c nts, an absolute gent and loyal to boot. I could go on forever, an absolute hero, I’ll be devastated when he goes.
