BMG v City post match thread

Burnley are on par with BMG now ? , bloody hell their stock has risen didnt realise our six fingered friends from east lancashire were a half decent champs league team , just hope we can keep the score respectable on Saturday lunch time
He's right though. Most PL teams would take points off us playing shite like that.

Don't understand why Aguero wasn't given the Shepherd's Crook on 60 mins. He's clearly not 100%. instead we pissed around at the back.
Agree with this. I think Aguero should have been subbed off and Fernandinho too. Fernandinho sending off was a farce, but it was very predictable. They were trying to get one of our players sent off at that stage. It was an obvious move to take Fernandinho off. Not a case of being wise after the event. You could see it coming. I am sure Guardiola must have been kicking himself for not making the substitution.

No excuse not to play Kelechi against Celtic

Pep did well to stop himself slagging off ****y **** in his post match interview.

He was trying to outdo Twattenberg last night.

I remember a report on Barca when Pep was in charge on Sky a few years ago. The training and strategy was focused on preserving the the teams energy for the run in from February when the knock out phase of the CL starts and the "business end" of the domestic season starts.

I know it's different in the Prem but we are past the disruptive International weekends, out of the relatively gruelling League Cup either next round or beyond (semi finals in Jan after the draining Xmas games) and have the advantage of playing some of our promising EDS players against Celtic.

All this and we are 1 point behind Chelsea, through to the CL knock outs and have the opportunity to freshen up the squad. Yet we still have some very negative comments, it's a land of free speech but we do have some proper moaning twats on here.

Job done but Aguero felt very isolated all night. Defence needs lots more training
TBH Stones is the only top defender we have nowadays and even he's making the odd mistake so it's hardly surprising we're struggling back there. Not going to win anything this season with the poor quality of defenders we have.

He looks so cut off and we aren't exactly creating a mountain of chances for him. We have no other regular goal threat so he is just doubled up on. The amount of times he receives the ball with 2-3 men round him is stupid. Because teams are sitting so deep and showing so little ambition, he is constantly receiving the ball with his back to goal or worse, physically running away from goal.

It's causing problems with his own game because he is trying too hard when he gets the ball. That said, it is disappointing that Kelechi hasn't been utilised a bit more.
Agreed. I'd go 442 or 352 or 4132 agaibst burnley and change it up a bit.
