BMG v City post match thread

Not the greatest game nor performance, but after the defeat in Barcelona, it was always going to be very difficult to win the group.

We've qualified for the knockout stages and that's the most important objective achieved. None of the group winners will relish facing Manchester City.

They had a man sent off relatively early in the second half and for ten minutes couldn't get the ball
Even when Dinho was sent off we continued to dominate possession
I actually think we're now scaring teams in Europe
It's only taken 47 years for Malcolm Allison's prophecy to come true

Excellent!

I can't put my finger on why but this comment seems an utterly bizarre thing to say

Prior to the group starting, we were odds on to finish runners up to Barcelona, but - especially after drawing at Celtic - our fate has been very uncertain.
Despite an average display tonight, which kept us on tenterhooks - as usual - we're through to the last 16 with a game to spare, and frankly, that's as good as it was ever likely to get. The brilliant Spurs have dropped into the f'kin Europa League, so let's be glad that we've made it through and we have power to add Jesus and Yaya, + God knows who else, to give us more exciting attacking options for the second half of the season.
3 points on Saturday and everything's rosey!!

He's probably trying to make a positive out of them not qualifying. BMG have had a bad run of late, so he's probably under pressure.

In the last 10 mins they were keeping 3rd place safe and we were keeping 2nd place safe

Burnley are on par with BMG now ? , bloody hell their stock has risen didnt realise our six fingered friends from east lancashire were a half decent champs league team , just hope we can keep the score respectable on Saturday lunch time

haha - Burnley's home record is actually pretty good. If we're at it we'll be ok but if not they are capable of hurting us.

Still learning, and still trying new things - a lot of which aren't quite working right now. 'Frustrating' is a word you'll hear a lot this season, but we're not doing too badly at all.
