Board games...Are they a thing of the past?

!RISK" the best board game by far, ordered it for Chrimbo and played it the other night as a trial session with kids and their partners - they loved it and have been googling risk strategy in readiness for the Chrimbo day get together
Anyone else get this? It's not on any lists so far

There was a board game when i was younger called Travel Go, no one ever remembers it though but it was good, remember playing go for broke as well,that was good.

I remember Travel Go. Had to move round the world picking up souvenirs and avoid messing up and being sent to some distant dump such as Vladivostock or Skegness.

I think scrabble is a great bored game and I play it regularly, gets the brain thinking.

Yeah, it does seem a bit dated now, but still great fun and strangely educational - makes you realise how much the world has changed

Not played any for years,we played loads as a kid as a family,it was always fun
Kids now wouldn't know what to do with them

Risk, escape from Atlantis, cards, battleships, monopoly, downfall etc etc
