Well done City for playing hardball.

Have you been told the fee then?

Share?
No, i haven't a clue what the fee is, but Bayern have been after him all summer and have been moaning their arses off. In the end, they probably upped their bid to an acceptable level.

the way i look at it, if we get 15 for him, then weve got clichy, a proven premierleague left back and savic a better, younger, prospect for boateng, who for me, i know he was injured, but he looked very laboured in his movement, a bit too chilled out for me

EDIT: its on twitter, a fee of 13.5m euros! surley thats not right? £13.5m at least?

Undisclosed? What a surprise.

And as for "playing hardball" the fact it's undiclosed suggests we've take a big loss on this deal.

I think we might live to regret it. But hey-ho... it's never boring doing transfer window is it?

On Thursday, the board of FC Bayern Munich with the Board of Manchester City on transfer of Jerome Boateng has agreed to join Bayern. Boateng, who is currently still with Manchester City in Los Angeles in the next few days in Munich for the medical investigation expected. Then it is a contract with a term of up to 30.06. 2015 sign. On the transfer fee, both clubs have agreed not to disclose. Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: "There were intense negotiations and a long way until we transfer this could now lead to a satisfactory conclusion. With Jerome Boateng we got our preferred candidate for the central defense for FC Bayern. " Bayern sporting director Christian Nerlinger: "Jerome Boateng is a young German international, who fits perfectly into the philosophy of FC Bayern. He is also the desire of our players head coach Jupp Heynckes. "

Confirmation on the Bayern Website.

With the rags and dipperpool paying £20M ish for young English defenders, I would expect the Boateng fee to be something close to our original valuation of £18M and it's Bayern that do not want the fee disclosing

Phil Jones £16m... Cahill valued at £17m... and how did you find the reported fee when Bayern have publicly announced it's not going to be made public!
