what do we think about the ploy that Bob is using, bigging up the rags' front strike force saying its the best in the world!!

i personally think that a front four including wellbeck and little prick couldnt possibly be considered the worlds best, even if the other two are who they are.

it is an obvious tactic Bob is employing, but for some reason it seems to be being swallowed by all the press and rag fans alike.

masterstroke by Bob or undermining our own forwards (who i consider, unbiasedly, to be in the top 5 of world strike force). is it good to build up the opposition this way or should he be telling everyone who will listen of the power in his own strikers?

Yes he's right to do it, but you're wrong regarding your suggestion that he's undermining our forwards - far from it.

as long as our strikers know he is in full WUM mode, then it wont cause issues.

im sure he is telling them (rags) what they want to hear and massaging the enormous rag egoes to pull the pressure off our guys, but it still doesnt sit well for me as a fan when hearing these comments.

Im with Bobby 100%. We need to work extra hard this year and if we finish above them, we win the league.

We are lucky to be in the same city as them as they will keep us honest and at our game. They are our constant reminder that we will not walk it and Im glad about that.

It took him a while to really learn the art of taking the pressure off the team but he did get there in the end last season and this is just a continuation.

Whilst at the same time it seems the majority of pundits are trying to put it on us by predicting City for the title.

Good post that. Must admit that I wasn't sure about it, but Talkshite certainly aren't going over the top about it - I thought it may have been a bit of a clanger and he'd be slaughtered for it. Seems like he's getting a lot of respect from the media as well, but that's probably because they are watching him now, as his mind games were absolutely spot on last year - in fact he played a blinder.

i think maybe as you say though, he has used the tactic before. maybe a new approach is needed. one that involves him bigging up our team of champions.

I'm all for it, they believed the hype last season when he said they would win it. I'm sure he thinks we will win it again, especially as tevez is back and looking good, like signing a new player.
