I actually very much liked Sven and the direction we were going, sure we had that poor end to the season really, but background problems certainly didn't help that. I wanted Mancini after Hughes, basically as soon as we hit relegation territory after the West Brom result if I remember correctly. Mancini is the best manager I've seen for this club in my 10 or so years of supporting properly, from the age of 7-9 really.

However,if we're judging man management - Mancini ranks poorly.

This may be true, but what has Mancini's (on the face of it) terrible man management actually cost us? From what I can see it's led us to two major trophies in two years with strings of flawless victories.
