I wouldn't want the rags to go under, I'd rather they just struggled while we have a good laugh at them, we had to take enough off them when we were shit.

Liverpool can fuck off though.

I think it's pretty piss poor celebrating the expected demise of any club, lots of history behind Bury and Bolton, we could easily have gone the same way at a few points in our own history ..

Agreed. But when thousands of locals would rather support the Rags or Dippers than a team a few miles away what can you do? I'm on holiday near Stratford and although there's plenty of local clubs all I've seen are Liverpool and the odd Rag shirt.

I live near Bolton, and most of them don't support Bolton, it's mostly utd and Liverpool. They have potentially got a large fan base, I believe it's the biggest town in england, but they're all glory hunters.

The worst thing for all these local clubs was our demise when we dropped down to the third tier ourselves. Oh how they revelled in our plight and fall from grace. Don't forget at that time no one dreamed we would ever be where we are now. Maybe if they rallied in numbers behind the club like we did in the face of all the shit that we had to endure they wouldn't be in this position now.

Having said this I do hope they survive because they do have some decent long standing loyal fan's and it's criminal that a succession of shysters have brought them to this.

We got Franny off one and The King off the other. I know they have mocked us when we were on our arses in the late nineties, but really hope both are saved.

Yes,some of them may have been happy when we were struggling,but they also have a loyal fan base who don't share such malice and their first love is in danger of being taken from them.....i wouldn't want that heartbreaking scenario for any genuine fan,so i have my fingers crossed a solution is found.
