Bolton v CITY - OFFICIAL Match Thread

As well as De Jong played on Saturday I wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench against Bolton. Hughes tends to leave him out against the teams that play route one and bypass the midfield, as he did against Blackburn, and as Bolton do. Plus he is on four yellows and we will definitely need him for the Spurs game. If Barry isn't fit then this could put a spanner in the works, but perhaps we might see Vinnie in midfield and Nedders at CB, to lend more arial prescence.

The most difficult game we have is Tottenham in 2 weeks time. Away. We know we can perform against the best at home, but how about a top 4 team away.
It's actually only 10 days away. A midweek thriller, which probably gives Spurs a slight advantage being at home under the floodlights. Will gladly accept a 2-2 down there.

Play to win, why aim for the draw. We need to get into spurs like we have with arsenal and chelsea or they'll dictate the pace of the game. Hard tackling and tight marking is the way for this one and hit them on the break when they get dosey and leave men upfield.

Megsons last game if we win I reckon

1-1 to make it 3 correct predictions in a row
(hope its 0-2 city though)

If we keep the momentum should be easy, but the might pull a typical city, but i doubt it.. 3-0 Tevez. Robinho, Shauny

Bolton deffo going down this season...also we are due to give someone a twatting...bring on the trotters (and I don't mean Del and Rodders ).

save de jong (4 yellows) and bellers (incase of injury) for the spurs game where they will be more vital. 4-1 city

does anyone have the impression that Barry will give away a penalty with some of his careless challenges in and around the 18yrd area?

i do!

Cant remember the last time we played Bolton
If we play with the same intensity- we WILL thrash bolton.
If we dont, we'll draw.

Dont think the latter will occur. Mind you, i would like to keep the same team and see how we go ( i.e. leave out bell, ireland (perhaps in the first half) )

The real difficult game we have is Tottenham in 2 weeks time. Away. We know we can perform against the best at home, but how about a top 4 team away.

4-3 U$h!ted Away
2-2 Liverpool Away

Richards...Toure...Lescott...Sylvinho
SWP......NDJ......Barry......Bellamy
........Tevez.....Adebayor........

Subs: Onuoha, Ireland, Robinho, Taylor, RSC, Petrov, Kompany.

Bolton 2 (Davies 2) City 2 (Bellamy, NDJ).

If my memory is correct, City haven't scored at Bolton in their last three visits. Also, we are the only team not to win a penalty this season. NDJ should be rested for the Spurs game. Bridge and Bellamy will be out, so I am going for a hard fought 1-0 win for City with a Barry penalty in the 88th minute.
