As a fan base we are a joke to the big boys. Crying about Uefa, about coaches, about spitting on a badge everyone walks on. We are laughed at world wide. We have a small time attitude and need to raise our expectations. Never forget where we come from but stop being absolute bitches crying about everything.

In your mind maybe. Oh I can see it. If you don't like it, fuck off. I go along with the 1000's of other City fans who also boo the anthem. Once UEFA start treating City fairly, be it the club, FFP, the team, decisions, and the fans, is that all small time, then I'll stop booing their anthem. Until then I won't, just like 1000's of other City fans. You can do what you want, I couldn't give a shit.

Same people in the media thread who claim agenda if a city article is 3 stories down on the list. We need to man up. If you think it’s corrupt save your money and don’t go. Don’t spend it then moan or boo and piss them off more. Use that energy supporting the team

Its supporters like you who are prepared to accept the shite we have had from UEFA for ten years and you just sit on your hands quietly accepting it , if you dont like the booing maybe you can stop at home , we can get a few more in to boooooooooooooooooo.

No Tom, UEFA aren't bothered. Neither are their officials. They have much bigger fish to fry. TBH they probably couldn't give a shit about a few 1000 City fans booing their anthem for 30 seconds. TBF, it's probably not want they would like to hear on their CL TV feed, but in the grand scheme of things they just accept it now. They can't do anything about it. No more threats, punishments or fines for booing. We've been down that road, and UEFA eventually relented on that charge reported by their CL match assessor.(one example)

The booing by City fans is to show their continued displeasure at how the club has been treated by UEFA. You and others on here can call that small time, say 'grow the fuck up', etc, but that's the way it is. When People feel something they value is being targeted, not dealt with fairly, punished, etc, they will react. Booing the anthem is one way of showing that displeasure, frustration and anger. Yes, there are other ways, but this is the way that City fans have decided to show their displeasure of UEFA and how they've treated City. If you don't want to buy into it, fair enough. That's your choice. Nobody is forcing you too. But don't try and influence or stop me and others from booing the UEFA CL anthem, because it isn't going to happen.

TBH we could debate this until next season's CL, but nothing will change. We should just accept our differing stances on this subject. Done. (off for a brew)

Why should booing the anthem bother EUFA surely it's about two sides playing a game of football with a neutral referee, EUFA shouldn't be involved in what happens on the pitch. But it seems they are by the referees they appoint, so thank you I will carry on booing

Booing aside, that's a good point.

UEFA could have given the game to numerous Referees. Many who have never officiated City before. Instead they give it to a Referee who........
