booking next years holidays with brexit coming

For anyone planning on driving in the EU post a no deal Brexit

On Jan 31st the govt abolished the paper application forms for international dribving licences.

You can now only get one by going in person to a main post office. In the NW the only post offices doing the applications are Stockport and Manchester Spring Bank.

The AA and RAC stopped doing online applications on February 1st.

Don’t forget you will also need to carry a green card off your insurance provider as well.

Are you sure? The post office website says and IDP is available at (some) local post offices for £5.50.

Which bit are you questioning?

I guarantee that you can only get them by going in person now.

This is cut from the post office page on the IDP.

“How do I apply?
Find your nearest Post Office branch using our branch finder tool. Bring along your full valid UK photo-card driving licence, a passport sized photo and your valid passport as proof of identification if presenting an older paper version licence.”

They do cost £5.50 though.
I live in Macc.
Went to my post office and was told the only NW post offices doing them were in Manchester, Stockport and Stoke!

So I will need to organise something before leaving by the sounds of this. Surely this could have been sorted out.
